Stakeholder Forum Series (2015 & 2017)

Client: Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM)

Work with CATSINaM staff to design, prepare, facilitate and report on the 2015 & 2017 Stakeholder Forum series held in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane & Perth. The forums were designed to strengthen the platform for collaborative work with relevant stakeholders in progressing CATSINaM priorities.

CATSINaM Nursing and Midwifery Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Curriculum Framework Orientation Workshops (2016 – 2017)

Client: Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM)

Work with the Initiative Steering Group to design, prepare, co-facilitate and report on this workshop series to orient the nursing and midwifery university sector to this Framework, with a strong focus on Cultural Safety. Workshops were held in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, Brisbane, Canberra & Perth.

Ear and Hearing Health Primary Prevention State Workshop (2014)

Client: Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC)

Work with QAIHC staff and Advisory Committee Members to design, prepare, facilitate and report on this workshop to gain consensus on future directions for a statewide coordinated approach to primary prevention in ear and hearing health across Queensland.

National Cultural Safety Summit in Nursing and Midwifery (2014)

Client: Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives

Work with CATSINaM staff to prepare, co-facilitate and write the inaugural National Summit Report to explore work being undertaken and further work required within the profession to enhance cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.

Health services, racism and Indigenous Health International Symposium (2013)

Client: Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, Flinders University

Undertake a ‘rapporteur’ role for this two-day symposium together with Jason Bromley of Incompro and Eunice Aston of Ngulkye Consulting, co-facilitate the second day, and develop a report to document key learnings from the symposium for international distribution.

Annual General Meeting and Members’ Conference (2012)

Client:  Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC)

Work with AH&MRC Senior Staff to prepare and co-facilitate workshops, and report on the outcomes for the annual Member’s Conference.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Outreach Workers National Workshop (2011)

Client: National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO)

Work with NACCHO Staff to design, prepare and co-facilitate this workshop, then write a workshop report on the outcomes for submission to the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

School Retention Reference (2003)

Client: Social Inclusion Unit, SA Department of Premier and Cabinet.

1) Design, conduct, analyse, and report on a statewide consultation on supporting young people to successfully complete 12 years of education that would inform a State Action Plan. 2) Co-design, train peer researchers, co-analyse outcomes, and co-write a report for a youth consultation on this topic.
